Autism WaiverFamily Training:Family Training is a service that provides ongoing support to the caregivers and the entire family system. Master's level supervisors develop goals for each family based on the caregiver's individual needs. Goals may include training in specific teaching strategies using behavioral techniques and/or providing information on issues related to Autism, learning styles, or child development.Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS):IISS provides a one-to-one instructor in order to facilitate the child's activities in his or her home or community setting after school and/or on weekends. In coordination with the family, goals are set based on ongoing assessment of skills regarding communication, play, daily living, recreation, and adaptive behavior. Instructors receive onsite training and ongoing supervision by the Family Trainer. They also participate in monthly team meetings with the Family Trainer and caregivers to ensure consistent progress and implementation of goals.Respite Services:Respite is available to clients in their home who receive IISS services only by their current instructor.For more information contact: Erin Taylor Bell Director of Family Support Services p 443.622.4955 erin@trellisservices.com |
